The programme taught me how to write in a more engaging way, and helped me to build more awareness of my language. Under the guidance, I became more conscious of my writing style, and found that putting effort into the stylistic choice of words helped with my flow of writing and even gave me more inspiration while doing essays. I also felt that I became a lot more confident in writing an AQ, as they highlighted the kind of examples examiners were interested to know about. The teacher here is always very encouraging and very open to feedback. She helped to build my confidence in essays by not only pointing out the areas for improvement, but also noting the commendable aspects (which allowed me to consciously continue doing them). She also often asked for our opinions on her teaching style and content, so as to further enhance our experience based on our learning needs. I scored Bs and Cs on average in school GP exams, but managed to get an A for A Levels. My AQ score was also improved from an average of 3-4 marks to 7 marks for prelims. I really appreciated the thoughtful (and lengthy) responses she sent me with regards to last minute questions I asked her over WhatsApp or email after class time. She is also a very friendly and approachable teacher, constantly offering us moral support and life advice as well. All in all, I enjoyed my time learning from her!
