Learning Point's Excellence in English (Secondary) programme builds global thinkers with a keen awareness of current affairs, both within local and international contexts.

Excellence in English (Secondary) is a comprehensive programme designed to enhance all facets of English language proficiency, through thematic lessons which explore current affairs and real-world issues. These are woven into our curriculum, enabling students to make connections between academic learning and the world they live in.

Students will be given opportunities to read and write a variety of text types. They will also hone their critical thinking skills as they pick up techniques to answer exam questions with clarity and precision. With a dedicated lesson each term focusing on oratorical skills, students will also build their confidence as fluent and articulate communicators.

At the end of four or five years, students of Excellence in English (Secondary) will be empowered with the confidence to take on the challenge of the GCE O levels.

With a strong emphasis on current affairs, real world issues are intricately woven into our curriculum to enhance students’ global mindsets. At the end of the 4 years, students are knowledgeable, skillfull and confident in approaching any issues and topics that they may face.
