Children will:

 

  • Develop close reading skills through a variety of comprehension skills and strategies. 

  • Use contextual clues to enhance children’s understanding of what they have read 

  • Engage in higher order thinking through exposure to answering inferential questions.

  • Grasp foundational writing skills through our structured, skills-based writing programme, which incrementally builds their writing abilities. 

  • Acquire a rich vocabulary and the requisite grammar knowledge to form sentences, before progressing to write stories in paragraphs using simple sentence structures and punctuation.
